“There are places we never forget. The beach of our childhood,
a hiding place in the hollow of a century-old tree, a stream bubbling
over pebbles… There’s nothing like these for evoking those familiar
and comforting visions which stimulate our deepest emotions.

It is from these that I derived the inspiration which gives Ebony
its unique and intimate atmosphere.
In my creations, I borrow nature’s forms, materials and colours.

I like the custom-made to harmonise with family possessions, or
modern lines to flirt with the timeless.
In each object, balance is achieved by a quest for purity of line.
Without lapsing into rigid minimalism, I prefer a sober look, an
approach which allows every subtlety in material and tone.
These materials must unquestionably be the finest.
Silk, wool, linen, leather, stone and the most beautiful essential woods,
rosewood, oak or ebony.

When it comes to colours, they must be sober, warm and close to nature.
Shades of beige, brown, white, taupe or grey, subtleties which play a
wonderful host to contrasting notes of poppy red, prussian blue or aubergine.

Light, the creator of atmosphere, is essential in my eyes; it is, moreover,
the starting point for the layout of a decorative scheme.
If natural light is not sufficient to illuminate a room, or when night falls,
carefully considered warm lighting, tinted by beautiful lampshades,
clothes the room in a gentle elegance.

It is from these sophisticated choices that an original harmony and
hospitality are born or, quite simply, a feeling of well-being”.
